World Congress of the World Federation for Mental Health

If you have never been to a World Congress, you have missed a lot. To be able to come together with consumers and professionals who are doing so many things is absolutely wonderful. Usually there are some scholarships available to go, but there are very few. To improve your chances to get a scholarship, it helps to pay some of your own way, put in an abstract, and really be able to show that you have the networking to get the information you gain out into the world.

That said, I want to go to Greece. I have talked to many consumers who also want to go. This page and part of this site is to help consumers who want to go, get there. I am not going to leave it up to chance, but I am going to get into action to raise my own money to go. I thought if there are like minded consumers out there, we could encourage each other, give each other ideas and get to know each other before we get there.

I have created a E-Group for consumers to meet on multiple topics such as airfare, hotels, money needed, where to get or raise money, sharing expenses, etc. So if you are willing to do what it takes, and would like some support in this, Join us on the e-group and we will see you in Athens, Greece!
