To live your life fully with joy, happiness and fearlessly has got to be the most wonderful gift to mankind and yourself. Yet if it is so wonderful, why do we allow the dullness, distractions and other interferences in life, get in our way? Why do we allow petty arguments, cutting remarks or other rudeness to take us off that path of being fully alive? Focusing on what makes you come alive and letting the other distractions or hurts pass without acknowledgement, is truly what the world needs. When we say that destiny is what controls our path to life then we have no power in what happens. This also happens when we are angry and blaming others for our being angry. They, the situation, the thing made me angry. All our power rests with them. We cannot be happy until they change, the situation changes or the thing changes. When we take the responsibility for our lives, then we have the power to choose how we want life to be. It is not what we are wishing for. We are taking action by choosing to attain our goals.

This is a very powerful quote for me. Before you would find me hoping life would change, but I was not doing anything to make it change. I realized one day that if I was moving, doing something, anything, then there was a possiblity that life could change. That gave me hope. I know that sitting in front of the TV or laying in bed will not make my recovery. I must move, try new things, reach out, go to a meeting, anything and anywhere, I might find expand my path to recovery. As long as I move, there is hope.

This quote makes me think about people. I have come across many people in my 36 years. In every way everyone is different. We are all unique in our own way by color, age, race, gender, the way one dresses, talks, responds, the way we socialize, laugh, cry, by the color of our hair, nails, and eyes and by our names, some are spelled differently and some we can't pronounce. We also, have different diagnosis, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Mental Illness, or Cancer. But, We Need to Remember that we are all Humans.We all live in this one World (Earth). - Michelle Mata
